Please pray for those affected by the fertilizer factory in West, TX.  A team member on the trip knows people affected.

This is Carla and Alex two of our interpreters.  Carla is interpreting for Sheri's Bible study and Alex helps us at the worksite.  They are a great couple.

Sheri led a women's Bible study.  God prepared 9 women plus a few children to come to the study.  Deacon Oliverio came as well.  He is studying under local pastors to become the pastor of this congregation.  In addition to his studies and preaching at this church he works full time at the Lutheran School and has a family.  Pray for him.  :)

Finishing the beds.

We finished the beds just in time.  Keith needed a rest from all his labors.  (I think he lifted a tool or something.)

Digging the sewer line.  The ground was strong, but the men were stronger.

Let your light shine, Brian! (Keith made me put this in)

Mark brought these nail puzzles which were a big hit with our teammates.

Niko finally got it!  One thing we were able to teach him.  He was the expert on everything else.  :)

Lunch

Wonderful food!  Short ribs, juka, guacamole, queso, chips, delicious fruit cups.  But really it was wonderful.

Her current kitchen

Her current bathroom

Bananas!

Rosa brought us maranyon.  It is the fruit that grows with a cashew.  Interesting...

Keith drinking coconut milk.

Opening the coconut.

Frufru drinks

Our supervisor at work

Concrete hard to work before it gets hard

What do I do?

Getting ready to pour the floor in the living room.  (Done by those who really know how to do it.)

Pastor Bob lifted a wheel barrow.  That's enough!

Sheri is working hard as water girl!

Now what?

Here are pictures of the morning's work.  More after lunch when more materials arrive.  The team cannot wait to finish the beds, make the kitchen, dig and bury the sewer line, build the stove, wire the house, and what ever else comes up in 111 degree heat index.  But really, it's fun.  :)

Meet Igor the iguana.  Sheri caught him in a few great pictures.

Afternoon Work

Work pictures from the afternoon.  Lots of work done.  More to be done.

Making beds

The team, hard at work making three beds for Rosa, and her daughters.

We are working.  Really!

This morning we poured the floors in the two bedrooms.  It was hot work, but we had a great time.

Sheri is showing us how it's done.  Amazing how clean she has stayed.  :)
